Cortex control beta october 9th god bless

Just a friendly reminder to keep things civil and to refrain from personal attacks as that is not what this forum is about :upside_down_face:

I agree! As a NDSP BETA tester, we go through many scenarios to ensure a bug free experience but there is always a chance of some variable not working as intended. Thanks for the feedback!

Yes, of course! BTW, for the younger members or those outside the US, my reference was to the old saying, ā€œnever look a gift horse in the mouthā€ā€¦look it up.

This old saying also exists outside of the US  in german it goes ā€œEinem geschenkten Gaul schaut man nicht ins Maulā€ :horse:

And Spain ā€œA caballo regalado no le mires el dienteā€ although, gifted, giftedā€¦

I didnā€™t know it was an international colloquialism. Thanks for the translations! :+1::grin::+1:

YES!!! I can finally put my QC on the floor and use the switches finally!! Been using it as a desktop unit ever since day one just because bending down and adjusting is such a PITA. VERY HAPPY !!!

It seems only sycophantic QC comments are allowed on this site.
Personally I donā€™t care about the editor: I sold my QC and bought a Tonex. Not as versatile but far better amp/cab tones. And only cost me Ā£330.

Great to hear that you found something that fits your needs and makes you happy. But why are you still posting here? Let the rest of us be happy with our choice. For me personally, the Tonex pedal is not a good fit because it doesnā€™t come close to offering the features I ultimately need.

Iā€™m with you, David. Just let us ā€œsycophantsā€ have our delusions.

Soā€¦ tomorrow is the day?

Hope so,
But they said this in the newsletter (08/31/23):

We are aiming to open the public beta of Cortex Control (the Quad Cortex desktop controller) on Monday October 9th, and are doing our very best to release it before then. We will share all the details about how you participate in the open beta closer to the launch, but there will not be any restrictions.

Havenā€™t heard about details in how to participate, just really hope we still get beta tomorrow because I honestly canā€™t wait anymore. But weā€™ll see. :crossed_fingers:

There is no ā€œhow to participateā€. They said it will be available for download for everybody.

Yup, means we should see a new CoreOS firmware upgrade and a downloadable editor link tomorrow if they are still on schedule. I assume they are, as it would be a terrible public relations move to announce a delay on the scheduled day of delivery.

Sill nothing here?

Not sure where NDSP is located, but if they are in the US, itā€™s their 6:00am at best. I guess theyā€™ll need a bit of coffee before

Finland. Iā€™d say itā€™s closer to lunch time now.
