I switched from a MacBook Pro laptop to a Mac Mini M4 chip host computer and connected the device to a new computer. The control panel of the device showed that the USB connection was repeatedly disconnected, and the software on the computer did not show that the device was connected. But the laptop can still be successfully connected, and the same cable was used during the process. The laptop’s system is BigSUR, and the mini’s system is macOS Sequoia15.5
I have a mac mini m4 and have no issues with qc connection as a usb audio device. and cortext control works great as well. even though your cable works, it might be worth trying a different one.
you might also check your power supply. Cortex Control does not work in macOS Sequoia
I suspect this is due to the new Mac OS security with usb devices called “Restricted Mode”
It’s under Settings → privacy, I believe, if you said no to the initial popup (or didn’t notice it at all)
Took me a while to figure this out when I switched to apple silicon. I believe apple calls all audio interfaces a microphone.
