I’m not certain that they can. Can you explain a little on why you dont want to keep it inside the daw?
The VSTs have problems working with midi controllers and the sound quality is not as good as the standalones.
Does anyone have an answer for this?

What is the midi setting in the standalone “metronome di through” ? Can I use it receive clock info?
Can someone please tell me me if there is a way the standalone plugin can receive or send midi clock??!?!?!?!?
Look just contact support. If your daw does not sound as good as standalone you have bigger issues than a midi clock.
