Disaster area smart clock with quad cortex

Hey friends. Here’s a tricky one.
This may be more of a question for a disaster areas forum or something but maybe someone here knows.
Situation:
Trying to use the tap tempo on the QC to sync up my other pedals by sending a midi clock from the QC to a Disaster areas Smart clock which then sends taps to the other pedals.
Problem:
The smart clock receives the external midi clock successfully but it doesn’t automatically send taps to the other pedals if i tap in a new tempo on the QC. It just receives and displays the new BPM but doesn’t send out the taps unless I step on the smart clock itself. So I’m trying to figure out a way to get it to send out Taps automatically if the external Midi clock changes.
Possible solution:
Apparently the Smart clock will send out taps if it receives a “MIDI Continue” command. So my main question is - Is there a way to get the QC to send that message? And what even is a MIDI continue command? Is it a certain CC or a PC? If I know the magic Midi code for “Midi continue” then theoretically i should be able to just get the QC to send it to the Smart clock whenever I change scene/preset.
Any ideas?

My smart clock sends taps every time it receives a new tempo from beat clock. Have you tried resetting the smart clock back to factory settings? And maybe make sure it’s also running the latest firmware. Those guys are great about keeping things updated and running smoothly.

Oh true I haven’t updated the firmware. I’ll give that a try. Thanks

Ok no that didn’t fix it. Seems strange that it wouldn’t do that automatically.
I’ll try email Disaster area.
In the mean time, does anyone know how to send a “Midi continue” message from the QC?
