Changing the source on doubler doesn't change anything

Not sure it’s a bug or if I don’t understand the doubler yet.
I tried this with factory preset 1A as well as other presets. Same result, it doesn’t matter which source I pick. It always sounds identical.
When turning the dry level all the way down and selecting an input that isn’t even used, shouldn’t there not be a signal coming through, like with the transparent blend?

Hi,

try to set the Input that Instrument is plugged. And place the Doubler in the end of your Chain.

That works fine but doesn’t address the topic of this post.

Anyone else having this issue?

I haven’t gotten to experiment a lot with it yet, but I definitely experienced some weird behavior.
I think it has to do with how Max explained it functions:
“It uses that source to detect transient information, which is then used to randomise the delay time and some eq/filters. Ideally you want that to be as clean as possible to give the best results”
I’ll experiment more with the placement/source, but that’s the only additional info I’ve seen about it so far

That would make sense as detecting earlier in the chain would likely give the “detection circuit” more dynamic range to sample from.

Yes it makes no difference and the spread has no impact.
