Changing Songs without Cutting Signal

Let’s use the term preset instead of bank for the QC.

There will always be some gap when you switch from one preset to another. It’s because the next preset has to load all of the contents of the grid into memory. See the topic below.

I’m a one-preset-for-the-whole-gig kind of guy, plus I use external pedals for modulations and delay, so I have completely gapless switching with scenes. I don’t know what your needs are–cover band guitarists tend to use a lot of individual presets to cover all of their material, for example–but I would suggest minimizing preset switching as much as possible.

One preset can have up to 8 scenes. If it’s at all possible for you to use one preset for 2-3 songs at a time, you could arrange a scene for your note ringout and then go into the next song. Perhaps at a moment where you’re going to be completely quiet or need to tune, that’s where you would want to switch to another preset if needed.
