Capturing Amp with 2 different Speakers

Hello!

I’m new to quad cortex and have had it roughly 24 hours. I own a 3rd Power Kitchen Sink with a 2x12 cab. The cab is a closed V30 and an open Alnico Gold. On channel 1, I have the option of AC30TB tones, Fender Blackface tones, or a blend of any combination of the two. The whole rig sounds phenomenal.

I want to run 50/50 split tone in stereo on the QC fed by my external pedalboard. So far, I’ve captured the tone I want on the head running it through an UA Ox Box.

What’s the best way to build this stereo amp preset to capture the feel of the cab as well? So far, I have a split path and an IR of a 212 V30 on one path and an IR of a 212 Alnico Gold on the other path.

Is this the best way to do this short of doing a multi-mic and summing capturing of the cab itself?

Trying to learn asap.

You could run the ir’s in the stereo IR loader. Would just need to make sure your effects are also stereo

Oh, great idea! Which one would I be looking for in that instance? Would it be Dual (ST) or Dual (ST) Lite?

Either one is fine. I think “lite” means it doesn’t have the extra reverb function or some sort of extra effect on the IR loader

Okay, awesome! I’ll give that a try!
