When trying out other people’s captures is it possible to assign an IR. If it’s a capture of just an amp head without an IR the capture can sound horrific. Other wise you have to change your work flow. Download the capture , create new patch and assign a IR just to see if you like the capture. Would be better to have the ability to assign a ln IR during the demo stage
If I remember correctly, when you demo a capture it’ll use the IR on the last preset you had in use before demoing a capture.
example: you’re using your first preset. You switch over to demo another users capture. If that first preset had an IR active, that is the IR that is used to demo that capture.
If you didn’t have any IR active on that first preset (let’s say it was baked into the capture) it’ll sound like a bad fuzz effect when you demo a capture
Being able to audition captures with a selectable IR during preview would make evaluation much more practical, especially for amp-only captures. A simple default IR or quick toggle slot could solve the workflow friction you described. It would also help separate the capture quality from cabinet choice before downloading and building a full patch.
