When I open the IO settings panel and select the Headphone output, I see two controls: «HP LEVEL» and «MULTI OUT».
Can somebody explain what the MULTI-OUT setting does exactly ?
Thanks in advance. (I use v3.1.0)

I have the same question !
The Quad Cortex has several dedicated outputs that can be individually configured to send different audio signals. Multi Out refers to the ability to send different parts of your processed guitar signal to multiple outputs simultaneously allowing you to route separate amp tones, effects, or even different parts of a stereo signal to different destinations like a PA system, studio monitors, or a dedicated amp, essentially giving you more flexibility in how you manage your sound depending on the situation.
Multi-out sends your signal to XLR OUTs 1 & 2, TRS OUTs 3 & 4 plus USB.
All which is explained in detail within the current manual specifically starting on Page 90:
Hi MP_Mod, I understand what you are saying but that’s not the question. I’ll try to be more specific: In the IO settings panel, I can select a bunch of different sub-panels by selecting, for example, the Out3&4 or out1&2 or the headphone out. Each of those subpanels allow the user to set the corresponding output level. In the headphone subpanel, there are two level controls named «HP» and «Multi Out» and I wonder what is the use for the «Multi Out» level since there are individual controls for out 1&2 and 3&4 and so on in their specific subpanels ?
I did some test with the «headphone» output subpanel settings and I observed the following behavior which does not really make sense so me:
Why do we need two settings for the HP level ? The designers of the QC must have had a specific reason for doing it like that but I don’t get it.
I hope the question is more precise.
MultiOut just to adjust/kill any FOH while you’re working in headphones? my guesstimation anyway …
I feel stupid but what is FOH ?
