Describe your issue:
When trying to capture a high gain modern metal distortion I get a nice tone except when I start to palm mute… when I mute with the palm I get an horrible artificial sound sound like a low frequency square signal.
Steps to reproduce your issue:
This happened to me capturing to an audio interface with some vst plugins in my DAW
A lot going on there. Are you getting the problematic artifacts when you play through headphones or a monitor/amp? Might not be a problem with the QC.
well it is a pretty weird sound. not the typical hum/buzz/groundloopfeedback/whatever. I listened it through headphones and amp too. I’m aware of the ground issues so I always plug it into something.
Just gave your original post a closer read and realized this was happening when you were creating your own capture, not when you were using a capture. No clue what is going on here. Perhaps someone else can offer up a suggestion.
oh nono. maybe I wrote it wrong. english is not my first language.
this happens using the capture. also I know this is a capture issue because when QC finishes it lets you compare the capture vs the original and the original sound is ok with no issues when palm muting
You wrote it correctly. I just misread it.
