Between songs i change into preset mode and choose the preset for the next song. then i switch back to scene mode to play the song. (generally 4 button pushes. 1
what if i could set a preference so that once i make a preset selection the QC automatically switches back to the mode i was in before?
if you aren’t using your midi jacks, I think you could do what you’re asking by using the midi loopback jumper hack where you plug the QC’s midi into itself. Then you could assign specific presets to load in specific Modes using the “Preset Midi Out” menu. You could probably also do it from an expression pedal
Of course, the best option would be for expanded switching and midi capabilities, which are probably the most requested features presently. Hopefully we’ll see some implemented eventually.
I don’t understand your issue. When I gig with this unit, I leave it in gig view, in scene mode. There are two buttons that always navigate presets up and down as I sometimes change presets per song. Am I missing something about what you need? This seems to address the issue as I understood it…
I have about 40 songs in my repertoire. Each song gets one preset . each preset has multiple scenes that get me through the various sections of the song. So when I’m playing the song, I have to be in scene mode but when I want to move to the next song, I have to switch to preset mode. Then I have to navigate to the preset for the next song. It is not practical to organize the presets in the order of the set list because the set list changes every night. Once I have made a selection of a new preset, I then have to change back to scene mode in order to play the song. This often takes five button pushes. I would love to economize.
Also, when I select the preset for the next song often, I have to select it twice in order to actually get my selection. I would love for this to be a preference that I could set.
