Whoa!
Sounds great. But when I think about how long itâll be before it gets to the QC I get really sad.
Hi, help me out⌠the âXâ doesnât mean itâs ready for the QC? If not, bummerâŚ.
I believe itâs the framework thatâs used for the QC. So itâs built on the platform needed, but wonât be released for the QC for quite some time. Assuming itâs a first in, first out process (roughly), youâll see on the plugin page on the website that thereâs a lot of other plugins that people are still waiting for as well.
The exception to this of course would be if JM used is âstar powerâ to cut the line, which would make sense for both JM (so he doesnât have it waiting forever in queue), and Neural (since it brings more non-metal content to the QC).
Ahh, thanks! Iâll have to be content with the Dumbell model recently released (which works great for me)
Same here! Iâve also run a crossover and used the Nameless on the top end and Nolly cabs for some heavier gain stuff and thatâs turned out quite nicely.
Welp, that demo video has some of the coolest playing of âBeliefâ out there imo. Weekend plans sorted.
The âXâ tells us that itâs ready for Quad Cortex PCOM, but there has to be a future CorOS release to make it fully compatible.
Anyway, Iâm glad that Neural decided to release a full Dumble model for all users in the meantime.
Iâm thrilled. That said, this shouldâve launched being ready for QC on Day-1. Anything new launching should launch ready for QC on Day-1 at this point.
Thatâs tough though. I get your point, but try and see it from the standpoint of others that have been waiting on things like Asato or Mesa to get implemented, or even Rabea, which has been âsoonâ for months.
Iâm hoping theyâre still building the framework, and the newer plugins will be already prepped and ready to quickly port to the QC, but thatâs just speculative - youâd THINK theyâd have them almost port ready from the start, knowing what they need to do to make it happen.
But it was released on Day 1 with the PCOM COMING SOON label. Obviously that doesnât mean imminently since there are 4 other plugins that have had that label for a while now but it probably does indicate some line cutting. Now, if it goes PCOM before Henson or Rabea then Iâll be pissed!
Not a John mayer fan donât listen to him, But the plugin sounds fantastic the amps and effects sound really nice just testing the plugin and Iâll probably get it at some point
Well, I can say with absolute confidence that I have no idea what theyâre up against from a tech standpoint⌠but thereâs five that are âPCOM coming soonâ and about ten that still arenât. Thatâs a LOT of sh*t to do and history seems to suggest they will likely not get caught up anytime soon.
(no disrespect meant to NDSP, no matter how anxious any of us might be)
My guess is that the plugin is being put together on top of a pre-built code base thatâs compatible with QC implementation, as all new ones would be.
I have a feeling they were waiting for this to drop before coming out with a big batch of PCOM in an update. Hopefully not too far off. Appreciated a non PCOM update with 3.3.0
169 euros for a couple of dull sounds? Isnât that too much? Or is that price for the graphics, not the sound?
I have a saying âMusic is like a salad bar - take what you like, and leave the rest for everyone elseâ.
Just because theyâre not the tones you like doesnât mean theyâre not the ones some others have been waiting for. Look at the number of people overjoyed by the Dumble⌠thereâs going to be a lot of crossover.
My guess is, thatâs exactly what happens. It will also further their competitive advantage and counter the stadium release. Not to mention, Neural has leaned a lot more heavily into metal and this being the best clean plugin Iâve (and every major reviewer Iâve seen today has agreed) ever heard anywhere will seriously round that out and balance to a broader base. I know many in the helix world that will switch to QC once this becomes available on there. Not to mention it brings a literal fortune worth of physical, rare gear.
I do think theyâre missing a trick - they have this incredible hardware unit (unlike UA with their fantastic âParadiseâ plugin) and if this Mayer plugin were available straight away on the QC, they would probably sell countless new QCâs on the back of it. In my imagination - thereâs a QC2 in the works - which will host all of the plugins, have a proper power lead, and set a new bar. For now, Iâd be smiling if they would at least give is the âGravity Tankâ as a QC block.. thatâs a killer.
