Apple cannot check it for malicious software

Anybody having trouble with this? Garageband tells me this when I try opening the plugin.

Hello @villaloboseddie1. Make sure you have the latest version of iLok License Manager installed on your computer. After that, allow Garage Band to use 3rd party AU, ticking the option from preferences. Please, consider that the new versions of the plug-ins have compatibility issues with Garageband and MacOS BETA updates.

Check our DAW compatibility list right here: Getting started guides - Neural DSP

Meanwhile, you can always roll back to a previous version of the plug-in or try another DAW.

@villaloboseddie1. Please, check if this works for you:

  • Launch the Terminal app (/Applications/Utilities/Terminal)
  • Write the following line: sudo spctl --master-disable
  • Hit return and enter the admin password
  • Close the terminal, launch Garageband and check if the issue persists.

Hi @Gonzalo

I know the thread is quite old, but I now see this with Fortin Nameless in Mac OS X Big Sur with GarageBand. The plugin did load when disabling Gatekeeper, but I don’t see disabling security mechanisms as an option. Both Nolly and Gojira loads perfectly with the Gatekeeper enabled.

Any chance this can be fixed with Fortin Nameless?

Thanks

How do I turn gatekeeper back on after turning it off? Thank You.

Hi @skolnutz and welcome to the forum!
I had to Google it but all results indicated the same steps:
To enable Gatekeeper, follow these steps:

  1. Launch Terminal from Applications > Utilities.
  2. Enter the following command: sudo spctl --master-enable.
  3. Hit Enter and enter your admin password if required.
  4. Hit Enter again.
