In unison mode, a FreqOut can be used like a sustainer without the pumping of a high ratio compressor.

But I often wonder what the advantage is of routing your QC inputs and outputs to a module on the pedalboard?
Other question: Does your Cioks also get somewhat hot using the parallel adapter cables?
Fewer times that cables are being plugged and unplugged on the jacks; less risk of damage to the jacks over time. I have my QC hooked up to modules on my Templeboard for this reason. I would much rather replace a $50 module if it goes bad, than have to deal with shipping and repair costs for my QC.

And less strain on the QC jacks/XLRs if a cable gets yanked accidentally I guess?
I only play at home so my QC hardly ever moves. Not really a big deal for me…
