A thread for those who successfully updated to CorOS 3.0

I’m curious, where is the sign up for the possibility of winning a free plugin?

Appreciate the help, unfortunately it didn’t seem to help, tried it a few times. I’ve reached out to support and will follow up here once the path forward is known

When you go to Neural’s website you will usually see a pop up to sign-up to win a free plugin:

Interesting, the popup doesn’t popup when I go to the site. Maybe because I’m already logged in and have an active account I’m already entered or something.

I saw the same thing and found it at the bottom of the page, sometime it pops up and sometimes its not there:

Oddly enough, it’s not there for me either.

same thing here, I don’t see this ‘Win a plugin’ banner…

Found it through here: Get a free plugin when you purchase a Quad Cortex until the end of the year! - Neural DSP

It might not be exactly what you were looking for, but it’s something.

That was for the promotion they were running at the time. I am using Chrome and after clearing the cashe the pop-up at the bottom of the page (Win a plugin X) comes up every time now

Hopefully that helps!

True, I figure it might help some ppl…

All good and don’t forget your free gift if you get one!

I haven’t compared it to the Plini Plugin but on the QC I get a good chorus effect with the Plini chorus using it after the amp or cab either one.

the update went great with no problems yet, it seems most people went with the gojira plugin and im wondering why? i got the soldano one as a gift as after trying all others it sounded like everything was a 5150

also can someone please explain the new 9 band pedal eq? isnt that just the same as the 9 band eq thats already on there

You get an email also

Yeah, I got the email for the plugin that was given to everyone who updated. But apparently there’s a chance drawing for yet another free plugin which is what I was asking about initially.

How do I add my free gift plug in to my computer/iLok? It’s on my QC, but all I see is the option to buy/free trial

Download the trial version and then follow the instructions to validate it with your ilok account. At least that’s what worked for me

There’s no need to download the trial version. All you have to do is link your iLok account to your NDSP account. iLok will send you a link to confirm it is you who initiated the link and that’s all there is to it. After that verification you get to pick which plugin you want and NDSP will send the rights to your iLok account. After that you’ll see it in your list of plugins on the QC.

I initially thought the iLok setup process required an active iLok client. Turns out even that wasn’t necessary - verifying your iLok account on the cloud was all that was needed.

Thanks. I remember seeing that on occasion but didn’t think it likely I’d win anything. I’m getting the sense that the odds are a bit better than I imagined (I think NDSP is in a generous mood night now!) so I disabled NoScript (still had uBlock Origin on) and the option popped out again. Signed up and keeping my fingers crossed!

Quick update: I was able to enter the recovery menu. For some reason it wasn’t entering the menu when i tried last night. This time i tried from fully off, and you really only have to tap A and H at the same time to enter the menu. Once i entered the menu i was able to factory reset, and then it restarted successfully into CorOS 3.0.
