Correct, but I think the question was how do they get the plugin on their computer in addition to the quad. Which for me at least, I had to download the trial version and then validate with iLok. You are correct though that there is no need to download anything to use the plugin on the quad.
Thanks - yes, I wasn’t thinking of Cortex Control!
Went like a dream.
Update took about 30 min. I did get the “lost connection” message between reboot stages ( 1,2,3 ) and I just let it find the network again. (Oddly, it appeared my WIFI connection had improved?)
Everything came back up the way I left it, but with some extra goodies to play with After an hour in, it is working good for me. Perfect timing for me as I have this weekend off too. I plan to put it through the paces, but expect no issues.
Successfully updated to CorOS 3.0. However, Cortext Control applicatioon now hangs on loadingn presets. It does not impact previous patches.
Did you update to cortex control 1.1?
After I hit “REBOOT” all the lights have been flashing on and off for 40 minutes. I’m assuming my QC has bricked itself again…which is fantastic.
Any advice on what to do next if it just keeps flashing away like this? Last time I sent my QC to Neural it was gone for 6 weeks…would love to avoid that.
New updated worked fine for me. Around 15m-20m. Also, you need to redownload and reinstall Cortex Control. It remembers all your settings
Have you tried booting in recovery mode?
Recovery Mode:
Press and hold the A and H footswitches the first 6 seconds of the splash screen while booting to initiate the Recovery Mode.
Got it done from So Cal but had to refresh for new plugins to work lol
I have tried to update it about 6 times now but everytime it get stuck on Update Failure Plugin Compatability Update (3/3). Can I just turn the QC off and try again later or will that brick the system?
Yes, as long as it isn’t installing you’ll be fine, I had the same problem and shut down during one of the many failed downloads.
Everything worked fine for me during update.
Lost internet connection on every reboot during installation, less than a minute without connection.
Updated cortex control (Mac mini silicon) and everything working fine.
I took Plini for free. Wonderful plugin !!!
Big fail unfortunately! Feel like an i…ot to go for that update! The QC won’t boot… well some days it boots after every 20 or so tries and some days it just blinks blue! I have written and send the vid’s of the failure to support. Now QC support is in silent mode!
Downloading it’s taking hours, 12% downloaded after 2 hours, crazy. I have 1Gb internet connection and my phone tests download speeds of over 500Mbs next to the QC
that’s not normal, shouldn’t take much more than 45% tops.
It hasn’t failed during the process and restarted?
It timed out a bunch of times, finallly just finished installing now. All well what ends well and all of that
Just received my new quad cortex yesterday… 1st one and I do use the plugins… Have to say loving it and I’ve only done a quick preset … Also updated to the latest CorOS and seemed to go smooth took about a half hour - ish… I’m on part fibre and last couple of meters is copper…
40 down 15 up the QC seems to have bad WiFi onboard it was right beside the router and kept telling me it had a weak signal but my phone and others were full strength… I switched them off while updating but all so far seemed to go well…
Where doers everyone find the actual update? The website just show me the manual.
connect the QC to wifi and there is an option to check for new firmware/update when it does. The QC update is not something you can download from their website on your computer unfortunately. It has to be done via the device itself
