Update to 3.0.0 went pretty smooth. Only issue was a slow reconnection to WiFi after the first reboot. And then had to do a reboot after the completed install to get my account to sync for the plugins to show up.
Overall VERY pleased!!

Update went smoothly for me. Took about a half an hour. One note is that my Cortex Control was on a 1.0.* version and it hung up on starting after the unit was updated to CoreOS 3.0.0 so I had to uninstall Cortex Control and re-install the 1.1.0 version and then it worked fine.
Have you tried starting in recovery mode?
Press and hold the A and H footswitches during the first 6 seconds of the splash screen while booting to initiate the Recovery Mode
Updated two QC units to Cor Os 3.0.0 and it’s been great so far! Spent a while trying out some of the new features and my main unit ran smoothly!
update successful! they seem to have fixed cortex control’s high cpu/power usage as well!
Updated fine on my unit at the rehearsal room. Doing the update on my studio unit later tonight. Everything went smooth and simple. Also, got my free plugin and it was smooth and simple as well. Thanks NDSP
Everything ok here! Updated successfully and fast, it took 25 min or so.
Archetype Gojira working perfectly, now thinking about what pluging to choose as a gift (thanks NDSP!!!). I heard very good things about Soldano but Plini or Rabea seems to be really cool!
Updated and running.
I’ve updated and first thing i did was load in the plini chorus but it sounds nothing like the plugin on spatial setting. basically just a minor volume drop and no actual chorus effect at all. can anyone else with the plini plugin test this to see if it is just my unit or not?
thanks
Made sure I was backed up and Control was not running. Just followed on screen after it downloaded and then asked for reboot. Did a manual reconnect to my wi-fi and after about 20 minutes it was all over pain free. Installed Control 1.1. Selected the PliniX it installed and all plays well.
Well done here, and “the gift” is already waiting for me!!
Now I’m waiting for the update of my Cuvave Baby and his plugin!! LOL
I think mine was waiting to reconnect when I went to check on it and I just manually connected and it proceeded from there.
Went very smooth. Took about 1/2 hour total time for me.
Took about 20 - 30 mins to update. Went perfectly. What a great update.
Update went fine and just took a little longer to get to 100% on the progress bar at those stages already mentioned above.
One bug (?) i’ve noticed is when using the top right button on the unit to scroll through your captures in a block. Previously if I had loaded a capture from My Captures list, the scrolling would keep me within the options from My Captures list.
Seemingly now when you scroll it just goes alphabetically and therefore includes all the ones in the Neural Captures list too, making that functionality not really usable.
Hopefully a relatively easy fix in a future release though.
Other than that, all seems good.
took like 50 minutes…everything went fine and I’m happy to have it running, but I panicked a bit, because it lost the wifi connection after every reboot - even though it was right next to the wifi router… It just didn’t obtain an IP from any of the networks… but when I changed the networks a couple of times and just let my quad cortex “obtain” an IP for about 5 minutes, it finally had the internet back…
So still room for improvements when it comes to the Wifi…
And of course, the most wanted features of this forum are still not implemented.
Can we all just write the support and send them the links to the most wished for features?
I’m really wondering if they are oblivious to the true wishes of the community…
Only disappointment - I was hoping wifi issues would/could be fixed with the system revamp, but sadly I’m still stuck on the hotspot route. Getting 2002 errors if I connect to my router.
Still, the big positives - Update went smoothly, and I’m enjoying the new, improved system. Thanks Neural!
I had this too, don’t know an answer.
Clean update. No issues. The wifi did disconnect towards the 3rd (?) reboot. Think that was from the restarting? Menu/pulldown/folder a HUGE plus on organizing/workflow. Looking forward to playing around with the rest of the new features… @neural Keep up the good work!
I rehearsed with the band last night using the new update and everything was great, went home and updated my other unit and it went smoothly as well. I got back to the rehearsal room today and turned on my unit and it just had blinking lights and the screen wouldn’t light up. I turned off the power and rebooted it and it seems fine now. Hopefully it was a one time hiccup. I got Gojira for my free plugin and then I signed up to win a free plugin and this morning I had a free gift waiting for me so I got Plini also and love it!
