Continuing the discussion from XLR vs TRS output:
Hello all I’m buying a quad cortex wanted to ask one question can TRS cables also can fit the quad cortex
Are the TRS cables for the inputs, effects loops, or outputs? Any description of the intended use would be helpful. You can definitely use TRS cables for the expression inputs.
I don’t mean to sound condescending, but TRS cables are definitely talked about in the QC manual. Ctrl + F and you’ll find what info you’re looking for.
Response from Neural:
Hey Stephen,
Appreciate your reply and clarification. We’ve double checked this with the hardware engineers and it appears there is indeed a typo in the Quad Cortex manual.
It should read the following and we’ll update it ASAP -
INPUTS 1/2
-
CONNECTOR: (2) XLR-F + ¼ “ TS/TRS-F (GROUND LIFT)
-
XLR IMPEDANCE: 3.8KΩ
-
TS/TRS IMPEDANCE: 10KΩ - 10MΩ
-
MAX INPUT GAIN: +60dB
So yes, the combo inputs 1/2 on Quad Cortex accept TRS balanced connections.
Let us know if you have further queries or concerns.
Best regards,
