Why navigating between banks exit the preset mode and shows edit mode?

In Preset Mode you can see all the presets within a bank. Problem is if you switch to the next bank it goes back to Edit mode where you see only the name of the first preset within that bank until you select it on the stompbox, then it goes back to the preset mode where it shows all the presets within that bank.

I don’t understand why it goes back to the Edit Mode??? When I’m in Preset Mode and switch between banks, I want to directly and instantly see all presets within that bank. It doesn’t make any sense having to select a preset first to see all the presets in a bank. Am I doing something wrong?

I had the same question. The behavior seems strange.

If you know exactly where you want to go, you don’t have to select a preset in each bank to get there. For example, if you are on 5A and you want to go to 11D, you would press Bank Up six times, then press D, then press D again to actually select it.

It is awkward, and you can’t see what is in the other banks as you are paging through them without touching all of the foot switches. On other modelers I have owned, you can page through the banks quickly and see everything in each bank as you page through them on your way to the desired bank.

Maybe this should be a QC feature request?
