I’ve been using the QC as an audio interface with my laptop (Windows 11). I’m a frequent user of Transcribe! software to “dissect” songs i want to play. Been using this for years now and it really is my go-to software since it has so many excellent options (slowing down - huge EQ’ing for bringin forward or backward of instruments - create sections that can easily be recalled, and all is MIDI-mappable) . But in January when i updated the QC I get no sound whatsoever out of the QC while using Transcribe! Everything else still works without any issue. Now I’ve noticed that transcribe uses 44100Hz (or lower), and the QC uses only 48000Hz, and neither of them can be switched to equal the other. but how is it possible then that I’ve had no problems using the program before? To my knowledge there have been no changes in audio format? and how is it possible that it DID work in the first place? I really stumped, and contacted Andy from Seventh String, and he thinks it’s a windows issue, but then I’d have other apps that wouldn’t work either according to my logic.
Any ideas of how this is possible and how this might be solved?
TIA
Jay
well for a start, all of the functions you describe can be easily achieved in a DAW and you would have the added bonus of being in a useful multitracking environment. Even if you never record it is worthwhile working in a DAW, transcribing can be tweaked even further than Transcribe! will allow, midi is more comprehensive and of course you can work in any bit-rate.
but if you’re unwilling to jump into a DAW , have you checked the NeuralDSP Asio driver config? What audio driver is Transcribe! using? There is the neural one but you may get mileage out of ASIOforAll if you’re running into issues.
Hey thanks
But the issue is I already have tons of Transcribe! files that are now useless
So I would really want a solution so I can keep using it as I have been for the past 6 years.
Now to add more confusion to the issue, I dug up my old Audient iD4, and set it up. This one worked perfectly since I can switch to 44.1KHz. But to my surprise, when I switched it to 48KHz, and rebooted, everything kept working
… So now I’m completely lost… The easy thing would be to keep the iD4 connected, but I have presets on the QC I wanne use, so there’s that ….
