Hi, I’m writing to mention something that happened to me a few days ago while using my Nano Cortex with an expression pedal assigned to the capture volume parameter in a specific preset. Since the capture volume is measured in decibels and the pedal configuration uses percentages, I run into an issue: the slider doesn’t allow for 0.5% increments—only a minimum of 1%. This makes it impossible to precisely calibrate the pedal to sweep from the minimum volume (where there is no audio, with the pedal in the heel position) to the exact maximum volume I’ve set (with the pedal in the toe position), because the value jumps by 0.2 dB for every 1% change on the assigned parameter’s slider. I hope I’ve explained this clearly. Is there a way to fix this so that the percentage aligns with 0.1 dB increments in the capture volume? I use this setup because there isn’t a global preset volume setting that can be assigned to the pedal—which would be even more useful. Thanks in advance.
Set the expression to the range of 0%-50% on the volume, instead of 100%
It isn’t set to reach 100% because, if it were, the capture’s maximum volume would spike well beyond my configured limit. I calculate the pedal’s maximum percentage setting based on the decibel value I’ve assigned to the capture volume; however, since the minimum adjustment increment is 1%, moving the pedal changes the capture volume by 0.2 decibels, and the values don’t align. I don’t think I’m explaining this clearly—if you tried it out in practice, you’d see exactly what I mean. Thanks for the advice, though.
