I’m new to the Quad Cortex and so far I really like it. I find that the Minivoicer for vocal harmonies is not on par with my TC Helicon PlayElectric and it would be nice if that could be improved or a new device created. I know that the Mantra plugin does not work with the Cortex but wanted to see if there is anything else in the queue to maybe improve on or be an alternative to Minivoicer. A feature that the TC Helicon has is to be able to learn the chords from the guitar and sync it with the harmonies so that one does not have to lock in a key for the preset. It also uses it’s own built-in mic but that would require hardware changes on the Cortex but I would think that the guitar input method could be incorporated. I play both in a band and solo and to have a better voice harmonizer would be excellent where I would not have to bring a separate unit just for that.
