Intelligent harmonizer in QC?

Hi! I just saw a video offering me to buy your Mantra plugin. It looks very good and maybe I will buy that to my collection. However, the old question rises once again: Why don’t we have an intelligent harmonizer in our QC’s if you as a company have the ability to make a much more detailed and power consuming auto-tuner for vocals which is MUCH harder to achieve?

Everybody knows that you could offer a simple 2-part harmonizer (chose a scale and intervals according to that and that’s what you get) since it was a reality even in my old BOSS GX 700 back in 1997! Since you already have the technology for much more advanced effects the question is: Do you want to milk us so we have to buy this separately or why isn’t it already in the box or an update? A student of mine said he bought the Tim Henson pack and there is the Multivoicer. If this is true that you already have released it, why isn’t this already in our QC’s??? I own and use all of the different companys units like Helix, Fractal FM9, UA, Kemper (and they all have this long ago). I really like the Neural sound and QC but when the other companies happily gives us the newest update it seems like a scam if you have the technology but want us to pay for it only through another Archetype when we already have paid plenty for in my case around 7 packages. NDSP, please make a proper answer to this because we all know you are reading this as every company should be doing.

A few things:

  1. There is a Minivoicer already on the Quad Cortex, and it has been available since 2022. Look in the Pitch section. It has major, minor, and chromatic key modes only; maybe this isn’t your cup of tea, but you haven’t specified.

  2. Archetype Tim Henson X will be coming to the Quad Cortex.

  3. For the other plug-ins that currently are available via PCOM on the QC, Neural faithfully delivered all of the devices within those plug-ins. That said, you should expect the Tim Henson Minivoicer to be available when that plug-in is released to QC. (More voices, more scales and other options)

  4. You would need to own a license to the plug-in in order to use it.

  5. We don’t know when that will be released (along with any of the other guitar amp plug-ins* we are still waiting on).

  6. *Neural have said since day one that Mantra would not be ported to the QC.

Thank you @DiffractionCircuit

I didn’t know about the Minivoicer could do 2-part harmony in chosen keys so that helps a lot!

A simple adjustment so you can raise the 7 in a minor scale to Harmonic minor would be a good addition but otherwise it will do the trick.

Thanks again!

If they simply change the name from Minivoicer to Intelligent Harmoniser, I believe most people would be happy! When I bought mine, I thought that feature is something I’d have to do without, but was happy to find Minivoicer.
