Using QC in front of a clean amp

Hi there!

How many of you are using the qc in front of a clean amp? (f ex deluxe reverb, deville, ac30 etc)

After using the qc mostly by itself I have started to do this more and more. I use the qc for drive pedals, modulation and a bit of comp. Delays and verb are coming from my two H9s.

I am really impressed of the sound and feel of the drive pedal captures, it’s 99 % there. Amazing.

So, noone? Everybody is using it as a standalone?

I think the QC is so versatile. Sounds great in front of an amp. I love that.

If you amp has an effects loop 4CM sounds amazing too.

I have two Mesa boogie Fillmore 50s and I use the QC with 7CM with both amps for stereo and it sounds outright killer. No weird buzzing or ground loops even when I do that. Don’t need any extra gear. Just 7 cables. So good.

I do! Infront of my Brunetti Mercury. Sometimes 4 cable but mostly all infront.
Love the sound!

Return input to quad. Waiting for something else though.

I do. I gig most weekends and for various reasons I’ll perform with just the QC (no amp) or in front of one of my amps (Marshall JVM or Fender Blues Jr). I have presets for both on the one QC unit. It’s awesome for both. Just make sure you have the right chain of blocks ie don’t double up with amp blocks and cabinet IRs.

I do it. Into a Vox ac30. I have a send in the chain to go to the amp but kept the QC capture of the amp and cab IR in the chain after it going to an output. That way I can run it both ways depending on the situation. Works great.

I use it at home with a Fender FR-10, on stage directly into FOH. I use the headphones out for my in-ear monitor and use the second input for the mixed monitor signal of the rest of the band.
