Using Marshall Power section with QC

So I know some people go in the FX return of a tube amp and use the power section with the QC but I was curious could I do this with an amp that has parallel FX loop like the Marshall TSL 100? I know the Marshall JVM has both and that would work but it’s been hard for me to find any info the QC working with a parallel FX loop. Thank you and much appreciated with info that can be given. I also don’t plan on using the 4CM with the TSl and I’ve added a pic of the FX loop panel.

You can but it’s more difficult to get the tone right due to the parallel fx loop. My old Dual Rectifier has a parallel fx loop and I stopped using it with QC due to the weirdness in tone, YMMV.

I was thinking that might be an issue, thank you for the reply.

A well-designed parallel fx loop behaves as a series loop when set to 100% wet. It isn’t always the case unfortunately (I remember not being able to use any post-preamp boost on the Bogner Alchemist because of that…that amp’s stay at my house was quite short).
IIRC the loop on the TSL CAN go to 100% wet.
The easy way to test that is to crank the amp, set the loop to 100% wet and plug a jack into the fx return while leaving the fx send unconnected. If it actually cuts sound entirely, the loop does indeed go to 100%. Else…
