Use Quad Cortex together with a DAC

Hello all,

The home office is also set up for listening to music. The setup includes an RME ADI-2 DAC FS with Adam Audio T7V speakers and Audeze MM-500 headphones. I now want to integrate the Quad Cortex into this setup.

The desired setup is guitar → QC → W11 → RME → Adam Audio / Audeze.

Can you help me figure out how to use the QC, both standalone and as an audio interface with plugins through a Windows PC, and get the sound output through the RME and Adam/Audeze?

I can’t get this to work. If I replace the RME with the QC, everything works fine. However, I find that the music sounds better through the RME, and it doesn’t get as (physical) warm as the QC (which is convenient when listening to music during a long workday).

By the way, when I used only the QC, I experienced a significant volume difference between music from the computer, and guitar sound from QC. Music from Spotify was lower than the guitar, even when computer sound was on 100%. Any tips for this as well?

Thanks!

Using the QC as your audio interface will enable you to take advantage of the routing capabilities etc., using with another interface will add latency and prevent from using the full potential of the QC. Regarding volume of the PC (spotify, youtube, backing tracks etc) just open the I/O pull down menu and adjust your USB signal to your liking.
