Tuner out Assignment

I wasn’t sure what to tithe this but Helix had an option that allowed you to send an output to a send do you could have an external tuner on a send. So when you engaged that tuner it would also send to the external tuber. It was a great option for those if us with a Peterson rack, Strobostomp etc. The built in tuner still engaged as well but I like to occasionally use sweetened tunings and use the Peterson for setting intonation.

I would like to use a second tuner elsewhere on the stage.

For this I would like to use output 3 or 4 constantly. So the external tuner should always be on, regardless of whether I have activated the internal tuner.

This could be implemented via a simple checkbox in the Output Section. For example: “Mute output (3) with Tuner” (Y/N Option).

That would be fantastic.

You can run an external tuner and like you said, use outputs 3 or 4, or even send 1 or send 2, and have a tuner always on. Not sure this is a feature request as it’s something easily done.

Sorry, but that doesn’t work.
Why don’t you try it first if it’s so easy ;-).

I’ve already figured out how to connect an external tuner to one of the outputs. The outputs are muted when the qc tuner is activated.
Keyword: “constantly”

”This could be implemented via a simple checkbox in the Output Section. For example: “Mute output (3) with Tuner” (Y/N Option).”

Ok, but no need to throw in a wink face and be snarky about it…. Run a send/return at the beginning of your chain and have it feed to the tuner - always on - and have the tuner itself set to always-on. Or just run an always-on tuner prior to the QC. There are tuners out there that do exactly this, always-on and allow sound to pass through. You would then just activate the QC tuner if you wanted to mute it entirely, but your tuner would still get the signal from your guitar because it’s before the QC. If you’re using an external tuner anyways, that just makes sense to have it first in your chain before the QC anyways.

Sorry, I didn’t mean that in a bad way.
But I don’t think you quite understand what I want. And what BigRalphN wanted. And what Jacob in the other topic wanted.

I think this is for “featured requests” . Not “let’s do a workaround”.

Of course you are right:
I can put an always-on tuner in front of the QC. Alternatively, I can replace the QC with a Kemper Stage. The Kemper has a checkbox in the output as described above.
Alternatively, I could start playing the keyboard, then I wouldn’t need a tuner. All good workarounds

But I don’t want to use a Kemper. I don’t want to play the keyboard either. I also don’t want to use a tuner in front of my QC. I (and the others) want an always-on DI signal from the input to the output.

I hope I have now explained more clearly what this is about. And don’t take everything too seriously

Just because you don’t need something doesn’t mean no one else does. And just because you prefer to use your tuner in front of the QC doesn’t mean everyone wants or needs to.

I understand what you’re looking for, and I offered an alternative solution. If you want to be snarky, like you just continued doing, go to Reddit… this isn’t the place.

I don’t understand what you mean by “snarky”?
And no, you’re not offering a solution. I still think you don’t understand the problem. Maybe that’s why you’re a little snarky ;-).

Maybe a live example:
QC stage left > real DI always on output Signal > Always on Tuner stage right. 10 meters in between.
Two guitarists who change positions several times during the songs. At the end of the song, MIDI switches the QC to TUNER. Now I stand stage right. I hope you get it…

Not your use. But not everyone has to do it like you. We do it that way for many years with the KPA.

The “feature request” is an always on DI-signal from an output. Not “How can I connect my tuner in different ways”.

But thank you for your suggestions.
