I am starting to experiment with the Transparent Blend block as I build more complicated presets. The block is not explained in the QC user’s manual, but there is a helpful video from NDSP here.
Following one of the examples in the video, I am building a preset that allows me to skip over an FX block when the blend block is activated and pass Input 1 directly to the rest of the signal chain (see screenshot). Unfortunately, this truly grabs the input directly, which means the adaptive gate built into the input block is also bypassed. I don’t have a lot of extra space in my grid, but it looks like I will need to make room for a separate adaptive gate block as a workaround.
FEATURE REQUEST: Enable the Transparent Blend and Plugin Blend blocks to see the gates inside the input blocks and give us choices in the “SOURCE” drop-down list to select the inputs pre or post-gate.
