Time signature vs Delay sync

Can anyone tell me if time signature is important when trying to set a Delay time to sync with the tempo of a Preset or Scene?

I’m familiar with using dotted 8th’s in a 4/4 time signature, but I’m trying to set a delay to repeat a phrase in a 6/8 song (the keyboard/glockenspiel solo in Hear You Me, by Jimmy Eat World, at 1min 33 secs).
I’m currently experimenting with randomly selecting the delay time, but wondered if it is possible to do it using the sync setting; is the 6/8 time signature relevant if using the sync setting, and if so, is there a way to set time signature on the QC for a Preset or Scene?

Well, in 6/8 you count down as two beats (each being a dotted 4th), so for repeating a full bar you’d need to set the delay to a 1/2. And no, there’s no way to set time signature on the QC for now.

I won’t pretend to understand that, but thank you! And to repeat half a bar therefore you’d set the delay to 1/4?

Yes, in 6/8, half a bar, ie a dotted 4th, ie three 8th, is 1 beat, so you should set your delay to 1/4.
