Having Rabea plugin is the only way to have decent synth sounds on QC?
I have the SLO-100 X already (bought when discounted). I would consider Rabea plugin but it has no compatibility yet. Therefore I guess I will go with the Plini X just because I’m only using QC, not desktop.
Any recommendations for synth tones with built-in effects? (Consider built-in after the update).
Not easily. This has led me to use an external pedal for synth sounds. Can’t wait for Rabea X to get to the QC.
There are a couple factory presets that use the moogerfooger I think to generate some synth pads but I haven’t been able to use it to get a convincing synth lead for guitar yet. Can check out the preset I think it’s “toxic synth”.
Following up on this as I’ve been trying out the Headrush Core over the last few days, as it has a few advantages over the QC (for my uses anyway) and I’m quite impressed with it so far. One of the things I like the most is in the latest firmware update, they added a synth module to the Core/Prime, and it sounds fantastic t my ears; watch here, 1:30 in
I’ve tried a few of the more synth-like factory presets on the QC, and they’re all a bit ‘turned up to 11’ for my liking, I’d really like just some nice pad type sounds, but I haven’t managed to achieve anything like that on the QC. If anyone has any decent synth-like presets, please share!
It’s good to be happy with a certain product, I’m happy for you. But I never heard anything yet that beats the Rabea plugin for synth sounds. I assume the Pcom of that must be a really tough one, therefore I understand it will take some long time. But once done it will be sooooo fun
I stopped searching anything existing as nothing hits in the eye, will wait for the PCom.
Well I do have the Rabea plugin, so I’m waiting for that too - but so far I have found that the Headrush synth model tracking is actually/surprisngly better than the Rabea tracking (which I’m only able to use through my DAW at the moment of course)
Ah yes, I totally forgot about that synth block. It would be way better instead of the PCom for sure. But still a tough task. Hope they can apply soon.
