Hi there! I’ve got my Quad Cortex device on repair and I have some gigs without having it delivered, so I’ve had to borrow one from another fellow musician. This guy has obviously his unit linked to his user. Since I would need to use my presets, can I get logged in with my user into his unit?
I know that one easy solution would be to ask him to download my presets into the Cortex Cloud, but it concerns to me since I use some Neural plugins that I have bought and I doubt that I could use them with his user if he hasn’t bought them.
as long as he’s made a full backup of the unit, you can sign it in on your account and download your backup file (assuming you have one on the Cloud or on your computer). This will clone your old machine to this unit, overwriting all his content and settings. When you’re done using it, he would sign back in and restore the QC with his backup and it’d be back to the state before you used it.
Obviously, only do this with his permission AFTER you’ve both confirmed you have good backup files available.
