Screen shows asterisk when changing scenes

CorOS Version: 3.2

When I change scenes on a saved preset, the unit thinks I have edited the preset. It shows the preset name in italics and shows an asterisk next to the preset name. The same behavior I would see if I edited the preset, although no changes were made other than changing scenes via a footswitch.

I can be on scene G for example, and then hit the F button to go to scene F, and I get the “edited” display behavior. I can then go back to G, and the display stays in the “edited” mode.

Has anyone else seen this? I searched this forum and did not see anything.

Pretty sure that’s normal behaviour. Whichever scene you’re selected on when you hit save will be the one selected when you load that preset. Changing scene marks the preset as “edited” - if you hit save again it will have that new scene as the default selection when you load next time.

it shouldn’t do that just from changing Scenes. I think someone else reported this as a bug/glitch recently, I’ll see if I can find it. For them, it resolved after they renamed the Preset and saved (if I recall correctly)

EDIT: here’s the thread. It was overwriting the Scene names that fixed it for them
