Hi all! After last update, when I am in scene mode and switching between scenes, preset stays in edit mode.is it normal?
Did you slide you finger from the bottom up to the top, so you would bring up Gig view?
Itâs the same.Even with gig view, when I change from scene 1 to 2 it goes to edit modeâŚwith star logo after name
You should upload a video of this. I feel like thereâs something youâre not fully doing right with the unit, because this doesnât happen with either QC I have, and no one else has reported this as a bugâŚ.
Star logo after the name makes sense if youâre switching scenes, because the preset saves with a specific scene that loads first. If youâre switching scenes it will show the star since you have updated the preset technically
What do you mean âEdit Modeâ? Iâm not familiar with this term as it relates to the QC. You only go into âedit modeâ when you tap on a block to adjust parameters. But you will [redacted] see the star next to the preset name when you change anything about a preset (EDIT: EXCEPT just switching scenes; thanks Xush!) - that doesnât mean youâre in any sort of edit mode. What block is it trying to edit?
So, youâre in Gig View, you change scenes, and then what? It opens to Grid View inside of a block to edit parameters?
I feel like they think itâs in âedit modeâ if there is a star next to the preset name. Which edit mode like you said isnât a thing haha
the asterisk indicates the preset is in the âDirty State,â meaning a change has been made but not saved. The text should also be in italics at that point. It should not be happening just from changing scenes, only when you make a setting adjustment that would need to be saved. Does sound a bug, unless there are other details weâre missing
IIRC it does happen from changing scenes. Thatâs because if you save after changing the scene the preset has a new default scene it loads into initially.
It doesnât on my unit, I specifically checked before posting
It is happening as you describe.
when i switch from scene 1 to scene 2,or any other scene, then appears star next to name of the preset, like if you are doing some editing. But i am not editing, just switching scenesâŚ
funy thing is,this is happening only on some presets, not alll of them
Check your Scene Bypass State Behavior settings
Are you using midi at all with the presets? There has to be something set different in those presets to cause it. Mainly since almost all the stuff that comes up like this in the forum is related to a certain setting being enabled when the user doesnât realize
Yeah, maybe share the preset?
As Xush said, the asterisk/italics doesnât happen just from switching scenes; are you sure your not in Hybrid mode and youâre clicking a stomp switch?
Iâd recommend sharing a video of this happening when you only switch scenes and/or the preset so we can confirm.
So, I was trying everything and making no progressâŚâŚBut then I tried overwriting the names of the scenes on the gig view (using the same names) and saving it, and now itâs okay. Strange. I was asking about this because it started happening after an update. This was my main gig preset, and I hadnât done any editing for a while.
Anyway, thanks for all your responses guys
I had a similar problem.
Switch to that preset and make sure itâs the way you want it and then hit store.
The next time you select that preset you shouldnât have any problem with the *.
