Re-Amping

Hello, has anyone used the Quad Cortex for reamping, i.e. sending a recorded track through it and returning back to the DAW? Is it possible and how to do it?

Yes, reamping is possible. See Section 9, “Computer Integration”, and specifically page 83, in the QC manual.

If you have more specific questions, post here.

Sure, did it in a couple of instances, it’s pretty easy.
But I use the standard analogue I/Os - are you referring to USB/audio interface functionality?

Yes, I would prefer the USB way. In the manual I read that direct signal from my guitar should appear on input 1(in multi out mode), but it doesn’t. Logic Pro on a Mac.

In Logic, the QC’s Input 1 DI should appear on Channel 1, Input 2 DI on Channel 2 (if you have no other interfaces connected thru an aggregate device).

The DI signal level is extremely low, you may not see it moving the meters. Many use a gain plugin in Logic to boost the signal, but if you’re reamping in the DAW you can also increase the level in whatever other plugins you’re using.

Oh, I see. Thank you very much, will give it a try tomorrow.
