If I use QC as my Interface , can I switch monitoring between speakers and headphone without unplugging ? I can’t find a way to do that!!
No, not switch per se but there are a few things you can do. It is fairly standard for most hardware to be setup like this.
- Unplug the headphones when you need to.
- Leave the headphones plugged in and you won’t hear them.
- Using the I/O settings from the top screen swipe, you can change the levels of each of the outputs. Either make the headphones zero or the outputs which feed your monitors (probably 1/2) zero.
I know but I am looking for a more fast way!
Hope Neural DSP would update something like disabling headphone output or output 1/2 with one-touch!
I have my QC XLR OUTs 1/2 going to my mixer so I can always bring them up on my monitor speakers whenever I want, I also have my headphones plugged into the QC and can listen to those when I want.
I record by frequently going back and forth between monitor and headphone which works s expected. Is that what you are referring to?
I get it. A mixer is maybe what I need.
