What is the basis for you saying this? Any links showing that the new design is less reliable?

No, only on facebook QC screen damage pics in groups.
Several QC of last years of prod have the same failure on touchscreen. Full grey with strips.

Ive seen the screen damage posts in those groups. None of them specified if they had a unit made with the new architecture or the old. Even if people bought the cortex within the last year it doesnt mean they bought from a place with brand new stock. And one of those screen issues was a used unit. Im not saying none of the newer ones have failed. But I dont see how you have provided anything to support your claim that the new design is less reliable than the old or vice versa. And one of the guys that had a screen issue left their quad at church over the weeekend and went back to use it and it was broken. It could have been dropped, stepped on etc. And if you are saying over the last few years. The newer design has only been out about 1 year. This time last year the old design was still being made and sold.
