Started up my QC last night and was having strange signal variations. I’ve seen other posts where the volume knob is numerically changing but this is similar to a cut in volume for a few minutes then back up. Thought it was the battery getting low in the guitar but it happens with passive PU’s as well. Haven’t discovered anyway to replicate it either, it’s random.
I am using the latest CorOS 3.1.0 with nothing in the signal chain but the QC to an interface then into Logic. I am nervous that this will happen live, any advice is greatly appreciated.
the first question involving output levels is always “are you using the factory power supply?”
If yes, and the main issue is the digital read-out levels fluctuating rapidly, that is usually the master Volume wheel going bad and typically requires the unit be sent in to be serviced.
If neither of those apply, have you tried the reset/recovery mode yet? That’s about the only thing you can do yourself
when you contact Support@neuraldsp.com (if you haven’t already) they usually ask the above, and for videos of the issue.
So if you can duplicate it, try to make a vid capture of it too.
You’ll want to get in touch with support in case your hardware is failing and needs repair.
