For this particular band we always go in-ears or stage monitors, so no amps or FRFR in stage.
This time it was monitors, so sound is just the QC straight to FOH via xlr, what made soundguy very happy
I uploaded a couple of short clips to YT:

sounds great dude! great playing too.
Oh wow. I’ve been a Pink Floyd fan for over forty years now. I loved those clips - bravo!
Some great tones and playing! Sounds like you’ve already got a good handle on getting what you want from your QC. Judging by the controlled guitar feedback, you guys must be running some pretty hot monitors/stage volume. Glad the QC’s working for you.
Sounds great over my home theater and I can tell by watching you it must have sounded even BETTER in person. Will you go back to the in ears or use the monitor?
Sounds killer man!!!
I just ordered mine yesterday and will receive it later this week. I spoke to the owner of the shop I ordered from and he informed me he has not had anyone comment to him about any issues with hum/ground noise
Now I am worried
So, the power supply provided by Neural is, by default, defective?
I would be using it, 75% of the time, to record and re-amp via USB but, for that other 25% of the time (headphones), will I have hum/ground noise issues? Has Neural ever addressed this issue - paying almost $2k for the QC and have to use a workaround does not inspire confidence (I guess I will find out when it arrives later this week)
Any issues with hum/ground noise via the headphone out on the QC?
Oh, that’s some news I can use
Did you ground the unit while using the headphones?
Did you find an answer to this?
* sigh *
Once more on the power supply.
The original power supply is not defective. It’s just that it’s a wall wart supply with a relatively thin wire to deliver current. The general consensus is that it should be thicker or more robust wire so it may be less prone to breaking, but there’s nothing defective about it. If you’re going to use it at your desk with it connected to your monitors, then you shouldn’t need anything else.
Since the QC is purposefully designed to be grounded to external audio equipment–in order to avoid ground loops–the original power supply is not grounded.
Many users who wish to mount their QC to a pedalboard go with other types of power supplies in order to avoid the annoyance of fitting a wall wart supply into their existing pedalboard setup. The Cioks DC-7 [+ Crux] is a popular choice, but it is NOT NECESSARY to spend $250+ on one in order to reliably and cleanly power a QC for a pedalboard. There are other places in this forum with solutions.
I use mine in my studio and the power supply is just fine. Were I to gig it it would be going through a nice isolated power supply as a matter of course. Ground no problem as I have outs to monitors and sends through my mixer. Many complain about the ground system in the QC but actually it makes sense unless you are JUST using Headphones but them just plug and out into something else and kill that out.
Thank you so much!!!
Thanks!!
Well it always depends on the venue but it’s really no big deal for me as I’m used to both of them. To be honest IE monitoring has never been my preference but with time I’ve just get used to it.
Thank you so much!!
