Hmmm, that’s an odd one. Doing a backup and a global reset might fix it. I recommend contacting NDSP support first.
Do the LEDs above the foot switches illuminate? I wonder if the ribbon cable that runs between the foot switch board and the main board might not be making a good connection. The volume control plugs into the footswitch board so a ribbon cable issue could affect both.
If it’s still under warranty, contacting NDSP or your dealer would be your first step.
Please keep us posted.
I have the exact same problem. What did you do? Is there any solution?
“Opening the bottom cover of the Quad-Cortex, removing and reinserting the SD card will restore normal operation.”
I’ve removed the card but it doesn’t solved the problem unfortunately. But thanks for your reply!
Advise against removing the back plate and SD card as it may void your warranty.
Best direction is to email support@neuraldsp.com
This feels like an AI response. This couldn’t be a more worse suggestion for this persons question. Their unit has a hardware defect, and not a boot issue like what the sd card trick has fixed for some people. Don’t suggest people do stuff that can help void their warranty from an AI search
My QC is already out of warranty and the repair costs by Neural DSP repair center are as high as the costs of a Nano Cortex. I’ don’t know if it’s a hardware defect. It worked totally fine until I did a factory reset.
This is the second time my QC has an issue. Back in 2022 there was a similar problem. After a few minutes of running time the volume knob and the rotary stomps didn’t worked anymore. This was with CorOS Version: 1.3.3. I sent the QC to Neural and they fixed it. But now I have to pay for the repair which is a lot and there wasn’t any accident or mistake. I just did a factory reset.
"I’m sorry to hear that it didn’t solve the issue. This was a method shared within my community, and fortunately, it worked for me.
However, as others have pointed out, the community did warn that this could void your warranty, so it’s entirely up to you whether you want to try it.
Whenever I encountered this same issue, I was able to fix it by completely turning off the power, opening the back panel, removing the SD card, and then reinserting it.
If I come across any other solutions, I’ll be sure to let you know."
I’ve been through 4 QC’s unfortunately with stuff like this. What you’re describing seems like a hardware defect. Hopefully the factory resets helps though.
I did a factory reset and then the QC had this problems. There was no accident or damage. I simply did a factory reset and the QC broke. That’s really frustrating.
Ensure you are feeding it the correct power, 12v @ 2A minimally.
I’ve got the original power supply
