Quad Cortex into a Laney FRFR 212

Brand new to the QC world coming from a Kemper.
I am having a bit of trouble understanding which QC output to the Laney FRFR I should use?
Do I use a balanced XLR to 1/4” cable with the XLR into output 1L running to the input of the Laney?
Do I use a straight balanced 1/4 to 1/4 TSR cable from output 3L to the input of the Laney?
I am planning on running straight to FOH from the QC but I’ll have the 212 Laney onstage as a stand alone cab/monitor and to have the ability to make last minute tweaks while the sound man is setting up.
I hope that wasn’t too confusing.
Don’t beat me up too much. I’m new!

You can use either. The advantage to XLR is that you will have less noise and can run a longer cable than with 1/4". I would suggest you run XLR to front of house and 1/4" to the Laney. I have an active DI box (temple audio) that changes the 1/4" to XLR and boosts the signal a little to the Laney. In the QC I separate the volume control so the XLR output are not affected. That means I can use the QC volume knob to adjust my monitor level and it doesn’t impact the level going to FOH.
