So I know the XLR outputs are 6db lower than the 1/4" but when I plug in directly out from qc to Outs 1 and 2 (XLR) to my monitors the sound is lower than a whisper despite the I/O levels showing evenpeaks in the out levels. the 1/4" outputs sound fine with all the other levels the same (fine being a mid level to loud tv in the room)
When using the XLRs to go to my interface it sounds fine but it´s because i´m adjusting gain and levels directly in the interface and output monitors
Can anyone help with this?
I am using the 1/2 XLR for PA and levels are fine. I use 3/4 for my monitors with TRS balanced jacks (jack-jack as my head rush monitors have Combi jack/XLR balanced inputs). TRS Jack to XLR cables will work fine too (Tip to 2, Ring to 3, ground to 1for the majority of equipment).
My QC big volume button only acts on 3/4 so I can easily change monitor volume during a show if needed.
Let us know if that works for you.

hi! it´s really not working for me i´m starting to think it might even be a hardware issue? using the XLR outs is such a low output they are basically unusable, any idea on how I could check on them working?
Here are some points to check:
I assume your monitors are amplified & have XLR balanced inputs ? Do they have -20 dB PAD switches that might be active and reduce volume?
Are your monitors working ok with another device as sound source ?
QC : How is your routing in your grid (presets) ? : do you output your signal to all outputs « equally » → output bloc
How is your Master Volume overlay setup (e.g. is your master volume set up to control the all outputs volume simultaneously or just some of the physical outputs)?
When checking the QC I/O settings, is the output pairing active ?
Do you have a global EQ setting active that could affect the output ?
