Quad Cortex FX Loop clarification

I have a Quad Cortex and a Chase Bliss Mood Mk II.

I want to use the Mood in the FX loop of the quad cortex. The mood has a stereo TRS input and output.

Can I use a single TRS cable in the quad cortex FX loop 1 (or 2) to achieve this? Or do I need to get a splitter and run both FX loop 1 and 2 over TS into a splitter that combines into a single TRS signal for the mood?

In other words, do the FX loops support 2 independent stereo FX loops with TRS cables?

On a side question: if I have an expression pedal running to the quad cortex, can I somehow have that same pedal control the mood? E.g. can I use any of the outputs on the QC to control expression on external pedals?

Both QC FX Loops are balanced mono. So if you want stereo in and out, you will need to use both together.

I’m not 100% sure, but I believe NDSP confirmed that they will always be mono and cannot be upgraded to stereo in future.

The expression part - if the Mood takes midi, then you can do it that way, but there is no kind of expression output from the QC.

Each FX Loop is mono. It’s at the hardware level–each send has one DAC and each return has one ADC.

For a single loop to be full stereo, it would need to have two DACs and two ADCs.
