Quad Cortex Development Update #50 - CorOS 3.0.0 launches July 31st!

I keep randomly checking if the update is there just in case. :innocent:

Actual footage of me watching time pass very slowly.

More importantly, it looks like it’s still not possible to use midi controler cc messages (MC6 here) to change block parameters. And it’s basically already build in as you can use exp1 or exp to react to external cc’s. Maybe it is in but John didn’t mention it. Bummer, back to Helix? If only the sound was as good as the QC, haha.

I don’t believe they’ve changed any MIDI functionality, only added more command slots to what was already there. It’s not different, just more of what we already had. I can see how that’ll help with Scenes, and maybe XP, but not really sure how it’ll help anywhere else.

It doesn’t help me if I cannot change block parameters in scenes with midi. I mean pretty much every other unit can do that…

PROBLEM

Update to 3.0.0 went OK, unit works fine but Cortex Control no longer connects, hangs on loading presets also after booting PC and QC multiple times.

Any ideas?

There’s a new version of Control. v1.1.0 Have you installed that yet?

have you updated the CC with the new one?
1.1.0

Ouch, I missed that…
Thanks!

Installed, works (pfff ;))

Are there any release notes that discuss what all is new?

I’m kind of surprised the synth that was spotted in videos wasn’t in the update. Not complaining because it’s a great update, just surprised.

Yes, I went through a whole list yesterday but I forgot to bookmark it however and now I cannot find it :frowning:

There’s this however, if you have some time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_1-cYprcXLk

I just finished the update

I own the Plini X plugin

But, cannot find the PLUGINS menu on the QC (I rebooted but still no PLUGIN menu)

Anyone else with this issue?

I’ve posted this repeatedly when I see people use the word ā€˜hope’ in this context, but ā€˜hope’ won’t get you anywhere. You need to create a feature request for the things you want, then get as many votes as you can, then contact Neural themselves to ask them to pass on your request to the development team, and even then there’s very little chance they will act upon your request, even if it is a basic ā€˜life improvement’ request. But go for it and keep at it :muscle:t2:

Update sounds good so far. Tried to download the Plini plugin but I think we’ve crashed the website.

Thanks. Turns out I had already created an iLok account while futzing with a Hackintosh and the Ox Amp. Linked to that account, and voila, Gojira X was what I picked as my freebie. I have to say, these plugins are pretty darned good.

Thank you, Neural, for the free plugin, and awesome job on the update to CorOS!
