I added a preset of the Soldano plugin to QC to check if it really sounds the same. Using of course the same gear around. Guitar, speaker etc.
It sounds different… not totally but there is a difference.
Has anyone made the same experience? If yes is there any thing which needs to be set on the QC?
Have you seen the section in the FAQ about this “5. Matching Quad Cortex and Plugins tones”?
They recommend to lower the input gain on the QC by about -2.3dB compared to the plugin.
Thank you so much. That was a good one. Makes definitely sense ans will try it out. I guess in my case the reason is rather that I didn’t use the instrument input on my 3rp party audio interface
I’ve noticed the difference, and prefer the ‘modern’ sound of the plugin over the stock one in the QC. Both are great to my ears though, but as mentioned, one needs to adlust the plugin a bit when using it in the QC.
