Pitch shifting

I am testing HLB-style automation with QC pitch shifting. I tend to have quite bad sound when pitching the heavily distorted guitar 2 octaves up (like in Abyssal mouth breakdown). Drop tuning works well though. Has anyone made comparison between Whammy DT and QC? I wonder if Whammy is more cabable in terms of quality.
