What do your guys’ output levels look like? In the studio & on stage? A waveform barely even appears in Logic when settings are at unity (input 0dB, lane output 0dB, output 0dB), and it’s already quite loud, perceptibly. These levels seem to introduce unwanted noise into my signal. If I start to turn up lane output in order to boost signal, things start to sound even worse, but I can get a waveform to appear in Logic. Basically I can only get perceptibly clean clean tones when I’m really pulling back input/output volume and gain on all the amps. What’s the deal?
I experienced a similar issue when I was testing out a Tonemaster Pro. I haven’t had these issues with my quad cortex though. My output levels on the QC are just below clipping (but still in green/yellow on the meter). At times I’ve had to add 2-3 db of gain in logic to the track, but it has worked pretty well for me. Have you checked were your output signal sits with the QC?
