Option to disable preset up/down footswitches in Stomp / Scene Mode

When performing, nothing is worse for me and the audience than the the mid-song dropout when I accidentally hit the preset up/down switches. Could there be a system option to disable these switches when in Scene or Stomp mode?

I live in fear of this. So much so, that for our gig on Saturday, I have the same preset copied 8 times (full bank) and I am starting in the middle of the bank. That way, if I accidentally press up or down, it will briefly drop out but I can quickly recover. To enable this, I had to abandon my normal approach of having 1 preset per song and simplify down to a single preset to cover a 16-song setlist.

I have never accidentally pressed the up/down buttons in a live gig, but it has happened during band practice many times. If I’m not paying attention, I’m unsure whether to go up or down to get back to where I was. To make things worse, the up/down switches move in the opposite direction of what many of us (myself included) would expect.

My vote would be to have three selections for this system setting: (1) Normal; (2) Reversed; (3) Disabled.

Yeeeees!

100% this! Let’s please have three selections for this system setting: (1) Normal; (2) Reversed; (3) Disabled.

I have duplicate patches, too (though not a whole bank, that is dedicated!). The worst part for me is the dropout, because it also cuts out my vocal – very noticeable.

I’m down with your proposed 3 selections! @carl , please upvote this at the top to see if we can get some traction. Thanks!

So, we do already have a couple of requests which effectively cover what you’re asking.

Locking a preset:

Here’s the main request for reversing the up/down switch order, with a relatively high number of votes:

Thanks for digging these up, I searched and found the thread reversing switch order but not the lock preset one. Feel free to lock / combine this topic with the others if you think it’s covered.
