Before letting you change presets and losing unsaved changes, a popup should appear, telling you that you have unsaved changes in the preset you’re leaving, and asking if you want to save the changes (answering “yes” will save the changes before changing presets). This could be turned off via a menu item if people don’t want to be bothered.

this is a nice idea, I would want it to be an option somewhere instead of a flat change, if I make a quick tweak live for the room etc, I wouldn’t want an extra screen slowing down the transition to another patch when I’m on stage.

This should be logged as a Feature Request, not a Support post. At the moment I’m unaware of another request like this one.

also, keep in mind the QC lets you UNDO a change, even if that change was moving to a different preset and losing your work up to that point. If you hit UNDO right after that it will restore the entire unsaved preset
