Off the Shelf Case with Padding for QC Mini?

Hi,

I am looking for a commercially available case for the QC Mini with padding. I bought a case on Amazon that took forever to arrive and - was too big actually. (link below). The QC Mini sits in the bottom of the case, and the top which doubles the height of the case, “supposedly” offered space for cables had a separator between compartments that made it difficult to access.

I want something the truly fits the unit - padded and supportive, but not with a ton of extra space.

Any Ideas??

Thomann ( Thomannmusic.com ) has a hard shell and a soft case, both with padding.

doesn’t look like there’s any room for the psu, or any accessories… be good for putting inside another case or backpack, but $40 for gold zipper seams a bit expensive to me.

Maybe something from Temu for a couple of $$$?

My suggestion: look into an empty hard case and get custom foam—the Nanuk 910 is off the shelf, and you can save some money by just getting the case with the pick-and-pluck foam insert. That will work fine, but I wanted something more rigid so I drew up an idea using XLPE foam and had it cut to size.

If you want a “cover” then by all means the Amazon / Temu route can be your best friend. But if you want dedicated protection, I recommend taking some time with it. Took a couple weeks, but this is the solution. TSA: bring it!
