Noise problem. On all captures.

Post a link to your preset and we can check it for you.

Also for everyone here, when listening from the USB output through my PC, this hiss is always there at a constant volume even when not playing. When listening through the TRS output, the hiss is only there at certain input volume ranges and acts like the clip I provided earlier where the volume of the hiss seems to increase until a point and then cuts out. Seems like when using the TRS output it does something to limit this noise in a weird way that results in the odd hissing sound so seems like a hardware fault or a software bug. Would love for this to be fixed in another update if it can be replicated and if itā€™s even fixable because this is really the only issue Iā€™ve been having with the device. If I canā€™t fix this issue then I might try and get another unit and see if that fixes it.

Will post when Iā€™m home. Really appreciate the help.

My noise issue is definitely capture related, probably to this specific capture but havenā€™t tested others. Itā€™s not apparent on any stock devices.

I have one posted that I sent to tech support. User name is Bigrockandy and the preset is ā€œHiss Noiseā€.

Did you find a fix for it?

Sorry to revive a fairly old thread, but this thread mostly closely resembles the type of noise I have. A hiss that comes in when sustaining a note (when the note starts to get quiet). Did anyone ever figure anything out? Is it fairly normal?

Iā€™m on 3.0.1 right now.

Maybe this helps:

Pete Thorn said (some time ago) in a video that you need a ā€œline isolatorā€ to avoid noises when capturing with QC.

Nothing very expensive.

Iā€™ve got one but havenā€™t tried yet. Palmer Line Isolation Box PLI-01.

If I find the video Iā€™ll put it here.
